Let's Stay Home!

Why Real Estate?

I didn’t know I wanted to be a Realtor. Not until I was In college, anyway. From as long as I can remember, I have always been fascinated with homes, especially old homes. In High School I scrolled on listing websites looking around at all the local homes for sale just for fun. Always picturing buying my own home one day. You should be in the car with me when I pass an old house...I'm crazy for an old historical farmhouse! As cheesy as it sounds, I became a Real Estate Agent because I love everything, home. I changed my college major multiple times just kind of going through the motions. You know… graduate high school, go to college… get a degree. I was working two jobs all throughout college, one being a Community rep for my apartment complex and the evenings and weekends a sales assistant at the most precious candle store. I remember riding the bus one day to class really harboring on what I was going to do after graduation. Honestly one day I just thought, I want to do something I love. What do I love? I love houses. I love property…. So I immediately signed up for online classes at Champions School of Real Estate with the idea to sell real estate while I was finishing up my degree. But, life, and COVID got in the way and I pushed it to the side.

Fast forward to 2020-

I worked the 8-5. Immediately after graduating Texas A&M in 2020 I got a Health Insurance Advisor position at the most prestigious insurance brokerage in my hometown. I felt so lucky to be offered this position, especially with the scarcity during COVID. I had a career there and was set up with all of the best benefits including a crazy good 401K! This job and my coworkers taught me professionalism, organization, time managment, communication and sales. It taught me to be a successful business woman. I met so many amazing clients, got involved with business around my community, and worked with the best coworkers. With college out of the way I picked my real estate books back up and was determined to finish what I started three years before.

I passed my Real Estate Licensing exam in 2021 and spent 1 year working Real Estate on the weekends and late evenings alongside my full time job. At the time it was a hobby and something to supplement our own personal real estate goals. Nothing serious. We had bought a house the year prior and were working on flipping it along with investing in land in the area. Having a license came in handy! But the more I worked in real estate the more I fell in love with it. I started dreaming about really making it a career. Remembering that time in college I told myself that I was going to do something I loved. After a while and lots of back and forth, my husband encouraged me to follow my dreams. It was at the end of this year that I made the move!

Since being in Real Estate full-time, I have never felt more put together. Everyday is an adventure with no day the same and helping people with such a big transaction in their life is something I take very seriously. I strive to make sure the Real Estate process is smooth for all of my clients. I like to take the reigns and expect them to trust me to get the job done so that they aren't seeing dollar signs but are happy with where they are headed. From investors to weekenders to first time homebuyers I help my clients strategize and Because after all, at the end of the day, everyone should know what it feels like to get to go Home. I love the Real Estate industry and building a business that services such a special part of peoples lives in the small town that I grew up in. I became a Real Estate Agent to create a lifestyle for my family that allows flexibility. To live to be happy, not work to live. I love to stay home, to look at homes, to take care of my own home where my little family feels the most cozy and happy. My husband and I have a house that we have almost completely renovated in three years. (Follow my social media for a glimpse!) This was something I always dreamed of getting to do. So don't think I won't try and talk you into buying the Fixer Upper! I became a Real Estate Agent because I wanted to create a business in something I am passionate about while serving others which provides a lifestyle worth living.
